A tradition since 1804
The first mention of the inn dates back to 1804.
The greatest Slovenian poet, France Prešeren, author of the words of the national anthem of the Republic of Slovenia, also frequented the inn.
At that time, the building also housed blacksmiths in addition to the coaching inn, hence the name Kovač (blacksmith).
